Must Have Wearable Trends
Straw baskets
Boho baskets and bags make going from the office to the beach a breeze this season. Lightweight and roomy totes and shoulder bags are all over Instagram and best of all they are cheap!
Printed maxi dresses
Flowing maxi dresses with lots of lightweight fabric that will make you want to dance your way from work to the party. Prints are key this season and the full length of a maxi means you can get away with not having to shave your legs!
Head scarves
Scarves have been doing the rounds for the last few seasons and they are here to stay… for now at least. Try and get a scarf that is a soft satin for tying in your hair as it will be easier and will fall from the knot nicely without looking bulky.
Liberty prints
British born brand Liberty produces miniature floral, paisley & abstract prints that have become known as ‘Liberty Prints. These gorgeous fabrics have an Oriental inspiration and will be most commonly seen in cotton two piece sets this spring.
Flat Shoes
Complete your relaxed vibe with a pair of flat shoes. Wear them with a maxi dress for the ultimate comfy outfit and add a bit of colour to your look with bright detailing that won't grab all the attention.
Colours
Soft bright pastels are in this season and the key to making these colours really pop is to have a fluorescent base. Don’t go crazy with trying to match your entire outfit from head to toe. Mix up as many colours and prints as possible so you almost become your own spring themed camouflage. The colours of the season are: could the below colours change slightly to swap out lavender for fuschia and nile green for red (if thats off trend no stress but it ties into my new colours
Hair
Shaggy bangs and blunt cuts are all the rage this season. This look is super easy to maintain and you can get away with not washing your hair everyday by using dry shampoo, if you’ve mastered the art of fringe wash. Just wash your fringe with a little shampoo over the basin and give it a quick dry with a large round brush. The best part about a fringe is this hair stays out of your face and won’t take away from an outfit. With 90’s shoulder pads and embellishments (even bows… yikes) coming back, keeping your hair simple stops you looking like an extra from ‘The Nanny’.
